Conversations of Portugal - SouEu

Welcome back to The Golden Lion, today we have SouEu aka TywinLannister.

Thank you for being here.

TY: No problem, it’s good to do these things.

1-Do you think that Portugal was well led by previous governments?

There have been some previous governments that have not done enough for a country like Portugal. But not everything is bad and not everything is good, there was always positives to be taken from each government that was in office. So, I guess the last governments despite their flaws, complied with what the nation needed.

2-Until recently you were inactive in Suna, can you explain why?

There were several reasons for my inactivity. In real life, I had times that did not give me much time to dedicate myself to the game, I lost the motivation to return to the game. Until I saw that something had to be done for Portugal. Portugal was very inactive, very asleep, when we all know that Portugal is much more than what was showed. Then I took the little motivation I had and decided to bet on this project to rebuild Portugal, and this gave me enough motivation to return to the game.

3 - You returned to the active in a team from a previous CP, what motivated you to go to CP this July?

Main reason was because I really thought this was the best time to test my knowledge of the game. The previous CP did a good job in the economy and a not so good job in the military and political part. And then, in this month, I tried with my knowledge to improve what last month failed to do. But what motivated me was knowing I could count on most of the Portuguese and we were all in tune for this month. Bringing Portugal back to the world stage. Looking back and looking at now, I think we succeeded.

4-So your return to the presidency is going as pllanned?

Looking at the current map, it went as expected. Looking at the relationship between the Portuguese, it went much better than I expected. Looking at the month in full, yes it went much better than I had planned. Basically, everything went well, there were negative aspects as well of course. But I think we can both say yes, my return to politics has gone much better than what we expected.

5- What are the best aspects of your mandate? And the worst?

The best aspects were undoubtedly the wars and the union of the Portuguese around this same cause. The wars because, as we have seen, if all the Portuguese move in the same direction, there are very few countries that can stand against us. We won many battles alone, against more than 1 country, we were practically the whole month at war and we always got damage the next day. The union was something that surprised me, I was not expecting it to be this way, I was waiting for it to be something that would take time, but we saw that it was not.

6- Do you think your team was well in this mandate?

Yes, they were up to the challenge. I liked the involvement of all (despite the "restrictions" that RL presents) I really enjoyed the work of everyone. There were ministries that were "forgotten", but in a global assessment, I really liked my team.

7-In the last month was there a player who surprised you for the positive? And for the negative?

Several people surprised me by the positive... including new players, such as WinPortugal and TheHellTeam, then there were the most accomplished players that surprised me because they put behind their backs some previous frictions and joined around the country like Drakdd, Snake, Seecker. Those who surprised me in a negative way, were not many, maybe one or two ... I will only mention ddk, for the way it blocked the congress in launching wars, that could have cost us dearly.

8- Portugal was in some moments fighting on 3 fronts at the same time, have you ever thought that everything could be lost?

At the beginning, when I saw Haiti's DOW, I really thought that this war could change course, but after the first day of fighting I saw that it would really take a lot more than that just to make Portugal tremble ... there were intense battles, there were battles that were lost, there were battles that we won. But above all there was enough fun during this month. I am clearly pleased with everyone's performance in this war. We proved that Portugal is not an ordinary country in this game. It is a country that deserves respect and above all must be feared!

9- We all know that PT is very dependent on BB, what do you think of that?

With this month, we saw that in Portugal there is not only BB. Although most of our firepower comes from there, we have seen that STAB and PTT also have a say in what accounts for the damage. The 3 main MU's of Portugal were well and, above all, cooperated in the best possible way. But without a doubt that BB is an important piece for Portugal, after all it is the MU that has more Portuguese tanks in it.

10- Do you think that STAB and PTT will one day fill BB's lack of help in some battles in Portugal?

I believe that BB will always be missed in Portugal. The majority is Portuguese and Portugal needs all Portuguese to fight for their country. Now STAB and PTT may well become an important part of Portugal. We are seeing them coming up in damage, we are seeing them receiving babys who from now on can turn out to be the next tanks of Portugal. So yes, one day that BB cannot fight for Portugal, I believe that STAB and PTT will be able to compensate for the possible lack of BB damage.

11- Which enemy gave you the most pleasure to defeat?

Mexico. In all servers I've ever played in virtually all I gave wipe to Mexico, but this had that special flavour. They are adversaries who have honoured the battle and above all have honoured our efforts. It was a good and "beautiful" war.

12- Will you apply again?

This month I will not continue as CP. But I will continue to have a connection with the government. I will not, because the last month has consumed me a long time and this month I would like to have a little more "freedom"

13- Do you want to leave a message to the next CP?

Only one: "Do the best you can."
